When not running or hiking wild, Jude and Paul can often be found in cold (or warm) water an love sharing that experience with others. If you would like to know more about how Embrace Adventure coaching can help improve your open water technique, build confidence, prepare you for swimming events, please get in touch.

Jude has swum in lakes, rivers, the sea and the odd puddle including over 15 long course swimruns around the world (Otillo Hvar, 1000 Lakes, Isles of Scilly, Breca Buttermere, Jersey, Hokey Cokey, Roseland, Rockman), triathlons, long distance swims (24hr Swim for Life, Windermere) but is equally happy dipping into hidden wild swims spots and enjoying being immersed in all that is open water swimming.

Jude and Paul are happy working with groups or individuals whether they be looking to gain confidence and skills in open water or wanting to train for a longer swim or swimrun event.

The Wild Swim Project

Jude and fellow Open Water Swim Coach Paul Mackenzie (Adventure Swims) founded The Wild Swim Project, a green social prescribing project based in Surrey. With the aim of improving the mental wellbeing of people with mild to moderate mental health issues, the series of cold water dips are available on prescription from GPs, mental health charities and social prescribers.

They regularly contributes to Outdoor Swimmer on all things swimrun and tests wetsuits for 220 Triathlon Magazine and Tri Wetsuit Hire
